Shelbyville Power System was created by a private act of the state legislation on March 10,1939.Today Shelbyville Power System serves 11,035 accounts, with approximately 4,600 distribution transformers, on approximately 200 miles of 7,200 volt conductors.
Shelbyville Power System has three delivery points from TVA. The total capacity of the substations is 265 MVA.
